We are located on a small farm in Prospect, TN, which is in Southcentral TN. In 2005 after not owning horses for several years, our family decided to get horses, something we all loved and a way to spend quality time together. We had always been around Quarter Horses and Arabians, but after much research and visiting farms, we discovered gaited horses and fell in love, first with the Spotted Saddle Horse and very soon afterwards with the Rocky Mountain Horse. We were first struck by their beauty and gracefulness but what really sold us on both breeds were their calm, gentle nature, their love of people and their willingness to please. We purchased horses from both breeds, making sure to get top-quality horses with the best bloodlines. People ask us all the time which breed is our favorite and we tell them we have no favorite, they are all great horses with similar dispositions and gait, it just comes down to what color you want and whether you want a solid horse or a spotted but whichever you choose you will not be disappointed. Our son decided he wanted to train so he went to work with one of the farmers we purchased from, who is one of the best gaited horse trainers anywhere, and spent more than 2 years learning to train gaited horses and we are very proud of him, he is now one of the best gaited horse trainers you can find because he does it because he loves it and loves horses and he says it's one of the greatest joys in life.
When we first purchased our horses, we lived in Madison, AL, but didn't have enough room so we purchased a farm an hour from work so our horses could have plenty of room to play, that's how much we love our horses.
We purchased our first horses as trail horses and a way to spend time with our family but they soon became our friends and members of the family and we work to find ways to spend quality time with our horses, it may not be going riding, it may just be spending time in the barn with them grooming or in the pasture with them because believe me, these horses love the company of people and that's fine with us, because there is no better company than the company of our horses.
